Halloween Window Painting Contest: Brew up a frightening display of ghosts and goblins. Tricks and Treats for the best paintings. Pre-registration is required and paints, brushes and more will be provided by the Parks & Recreation Department. Sketches must be submitted for approval. Families will be paired up with our Branford Merchants on the Green. Spots are limited. $15 per family. Paintings will be applied to windows on Sunday, October 24. Please register by October 1st.
Pumpkin Decorating: Pre-K to 4th Grades
It is pumpkin decorating time! Bring a pumpkin and we’ll provide the rest for you to create a decorative pumpkin to show off. We will have stickers, felt, glue, paint, makers and more! Wednesday, October 13.
Halloween Pottery Night with Jenna and Friends from Fired Up: All Ages
Join the Fired Up staff creating a Halloween themed pottery piece to be chosen the night of the event. All ages welcome. $25 per person.
Drive Through Trick or Treat: Families w/children 4th grade & under
New this year! Come celebrate Halloween with us. Families will have the opportunity to parade through the “trunks” at the Parks and Recreation Parking Lot. Show off your cool costumes while viewing all the spooky trunks. Pre-registration is required for both cars and participants.
*Must pre-register by Oct. 21. Please register each child in the household.
The Great Pumpkin Carving Contest:
Categories: Grades 5th-8th; 9th-12th; Adult(18 & over)
Join the fun! Carve a pumpkin and submit your photo to us on or before October 28th. We will hold an on-line contest to see who has the best carved pumpkin in each category. Submit on or before October 28. Judging will be held from October 30 through November 1

Halloween Cookie Decorating:
Have fun decorating your very own cookies in the comfort of your kitchen. “Sweets on Main” will supply decorating kits which included: 6 cookies, icing, sprinkles & instructions.

MILK JUG PUMPKINS & GHOSTLY FACE ART: Ages: All/Family
Recycle those milk or water jugs! Join the fun and create some pumpkins or ghost to light up the parks and recreation centers parking lot. Have fun creating. Please drop of your “pumpkin & ghost” jugs by October 22nd. Please see your receipt for instructions to get started. We will supply the lights. Fee: Free

Jeff Halloween Magic Show: Join Branford based- magician, Jeff Horton, as he entertains us with his Halloween Magic Show at the Joe Trapasso Community Center, (geared for children ages five years old and up). Be prepared for a mysterious and spooky event full of surprises. $10 per child. Adults free! At least one adult must accompany the children.
