Young Apprentice Acting Class: Ages 6-11

Instructor: Chelsea Dacey
We will begin the study of acting as a performance art by expressing ourselves through sound and movement. Our work together will culminate in a short performance of monologues and/or scenes or an original work.

Young Professionals Acting Class : Ages 12-17
Instructor: Chelsea Dacey
We will broaden our sense of what it means to act by practicing using our voice in all its capacity, moving our body to evoke different feelings and/or personalities, and putting these skills together to create a performance. Our final class meeting will showcase what we have worked on. Our work together will culminate in a short performance of monologues and/or scenes or an original work.

Musical Theatre Performance for Adults
Instructor: Cathyann Roding

Join Legacy Theatre, guest artists, and instructor Cathyann Roding for a two-hour, class exploring musical theatre performance! Students will work on solo selections of their choice -- from jazz, to pop, to musical theatre -- as well as group numbers, focusing on stage presence, voice production, song style, and techniques for building strong performance skills. Each student will have the opportunity to sing their chosen solo pieces and receive feedback from the instructor and group, with guest artists providing extra feedback and performance advice during select class sessions. All levels and abilities are welcome -- this will be a safe and positive space for learning and performing! The class will culminate in a public performance at Legacy Theatre on November 19, featuring rehearsed solo and group selections.
