Counselor in Training (CIT) Program

AGES: 14 & 15 as of June 1st
FEE: $275

The Counselor in Training (CIT) Program is designed to offer qualified teens an opportunity to prepare for a position as a summer camp counselor. Emphasis is placed on leadership skills, learning to become a role model and an impactful counselor to younger campers. Interested individuals should register at BranfordRecreation.org starting on March 3rd.

Camps to choose from: 
1) Summer Playground Adventure (Ages 5-12)
  - Foote Park
  - Hammer Field
  - Veteran's Park
2) Little Explorers (Ages 4-5)
  - Joseph Trapasso Community House

Those who registered will then be sent an official CIT Application later in March to fill out and submit.

Upon review of each application, selected applicants will be granted an interview and will be notified in April.

A mandatory camp staff meeting/training will be held at the Joseph Trapasso Community House in June. The date and time will be determined once the CIT selection process is complete. All field trips are included in the registration fee. Quassy Amusement & Waterpark field trip on Tue July 15th (Summer Playground Adventure only) is a reward for excellent CIT performance.
