There is a picturesque 1.5-mile boardwalk running along the coastline, a well-maintained beach, marsh, & grassland to explore. Rated the best state park in CT by Travel & Leisure. Rumor has it that Capt. Kidd visited Charles Island in 1699 & buried treasure on the island. To this day, no treasure has been found! Following our walk we will go to Archie Moore’s for lunch, so bring extra money. Individual checks will be provided. Limited seating on the mini bus. Rain date: 9/25
