Senior Trip: Bluff Point State Park
Hike the 3.6-mile Coastal reserve Loop at Bluff Point State Park in Groton. The route offers a journey through varied terrain, starting along the Poquonnock River and Fishers Island Sound on wide, graveled paths and dirt roads. As you progress, the scenery opens up to panoramic views of the vast Atlantic Ocean and Long Island Sound, especially around Bluff Point Beach and Bushy Point Beach. You'll encounter sections winding through wooded areas, salt marshes, and open fields, with the path underfoot ranging from packed earth to dirt, rock, and ledge. Pack a lunch to eat after our hike.
